Just keep swimmin'

For various reasons I have fallen off swimming m-w-f, but I am getting better about dragging the family to the swim club to make up workouts. I am on my 2nd card with the lunch pool, and I kinda thought I would never use a card up!

I am having issues with my pull technique & trying to work through them - and the pain of tight muscles.
And boy do I have muscles now. After 5 months of swimming I can really tell the difference in my shoulders. You know those diagrams that show you what 5 lbs of fat looks like, vs. 5 pounds of muscle? Yeah well then I have about 5 pounds on each side. It's awesome.
However, that's rather hard to objectively measure on the scale. (Those impedance scales fluctuate wildly for me, and hitting the ideal state is hard... I may give it a try once a month.)
Anyhow, so I feel guilty celebrating ONEder-land. As in "not in the 200s" anymore. Go me! I figure I must have some milestones here & there to stop & celebrate right? I know I should be celebrating my muscle gain more than the scale number moving down.... So I dug out a skirt that used to be tight.
Then again when track racers move to road racing, then have to drop weight, and I don't see those guys wringing their hands about the oppressive nature of gravity & climbing hills. So as a cyclist with a carbon bike, see I am celebrating the physics of speed.
Guess I should celebrate with a power meter ;-)

Well go me, keep it up... And back to obsessing about how botched up & train wreaked my workout schedule is. I am just going to keep my patience, and just keep working at it!
