Early morning run

Wednesday, July 17, 2013

I've been struggling with the W8D2 run. I've attempted it twice, and due to various issues, I haven't been able to complete it. I've accepted that maybe I'm not quite ready for it, and I just need to let myself rest and scale myself back a little bit.

So this morning, I forced myself out of bed at 5:15am and was outside repeating W5D3 by 5:30. I knew I had time for a 30 minute workout, and I knew that a 20 minute run would help boost my confidence again. Now, it's just a little after 8 and I'm feeling happy and good that I didn't have to run in 90 degree heat and my workout for the day is over. My entire body is thanking me.

Hoping to get up early on Friday morning and do a little bit of a longer run. It probably won't be the W8D3 28 minute run - probably something between 22-25 minutes. But that's okay. Just getting up and achieving something is enough.
