This is my newest hooked rug. It was really a quilt pattern and I had always wanted to do a stain glass design in wool. My birth sign is pisces. I had to re-hook some of the interior parts as had it too bright blue and the fish did not stand out as much as I wanted them to. I'm thinking I may hadd a braided section around the edge.

At my art guild program meeting yesterday, a lady demo-ed how she makes her fabric art. Then at the end she gave us all some of her work. I got to pick out this lovely fabric pottery set. I was wanting to buy it to give my SIL for Christmas but now I'm thinking I may want to keep it and buy another set for her. Isn't it lovely!!!

I sit out early each morning and drink my first cup of tea and listen to and watch the birds and wild life. We have 3 humming bird feeders and I've tried and tried to get some photos of them. Seems they always knew when I had my camera on and aimed at them and they wouldn't show up but as soon as I put my camera down, they would be back feeding. Well I finally got some shots of 2 different ones. This is the ruby throated male.

We have 2 small ponds made from old round fiberglass tubs. We went to a railroad salvage place years and years ago and bought them. We planted ivy around them and one is higher than the other and we do have a pump and a water fall section made of rocks between them. We don't use the pump anymore as the waterfall rock area leaks and it will pump all the water out. The rock waterfall area has now been overgrown with ivy. We have 3 gold fish in the upper pond and this water lily in the bottom. We have had this water lily as long as we have had the ponds. This year it has bloomed less than normal but I always like to get a photo of them when they bloom. I also painted a huge picture of my water lilies that now hangs in my youngest son's and DIL's dining room.

My tiger lilies have really been blooming this year.
