Baby Supplies, Assemble!

Monday, July 15, 2013

We are finally starting to seriously get baby things together. We'd gotten some clothes already (mostly gifts and hand-me-downs) and minor things like tiny stuffed animals and bibs and whatnot, but in the last couple days we narrowed down paint colors for the nursery to about 3 shades of light green, we bought and assembled the two cribs, we have a dresser ready to assemble whenever we next get some time, we got a double frame stroller (the Joovy Twin Roo) and put that together, my mom has done most of the legwork in putting together a registry on, and my husband and I are going to try to remember to schedule a meeting with the daycare we will use when I go back to work and the grandmothers' weeklong tours of duty with the babies are done. :)

So things are feeling more and more real! I still have 2 1/2 months to go before they come (or so I hope) in order to reach 37ish weeks (which is considered full term for twins) but I expect we will continue to find more and more things to take care of and prepare for prior to the babies' arrival, so it's good to get some of these big things out of the way now.

In non-baby news, I ate my weight in Chinese food and chocolate pound cake yesterday (family was visiting to do a belated birthday celebration with me) and weighed 5 pounds more this morning than I did yesterday morning. LOL...I ate a lot of pound cake, but I don't think I could possibly have eaten 17,500 extra calories so I'm thinking that'll come back down in a couple days. :)

Hope everyone's week has gotten off to a good start!

I remember setting up Bentley's nursery. It was and still is the happiest place in the house. I did Winney the Pooh theme. They are so wonderful. Don't blink when they get here, they get too big too fast. It still breaks my heart! I'm glad you treated yourself!
