Monday, July 15th - Final Goal Reward

Monday, July 15, 2013

Over time, when thinking about goal setting, I never really thought about rewards. Oh sure, a new outfit here, a date night with the husband there... but I never really put much stock into them because, really, they were things that, more than likely, I could get at any time.

Today, I have decided on my reward for when I reach my goal range of 120-140 lbs (preferably being 130 or so!)

I want to renew my vows with my husband.

Let's do a quick rewind:
The year is 2005. My fiance proposed to me this past Christmas Eve, and I'm excited. We don't have a lot of money, but we do want to have a small ceremony instead of just doing it at the courthouse.
We've got everything planned out. Doing it at a local park. Sister in law to be is going to be handling food.. and a family friend will be doing the officiating.
There's just a couple small things left- including my dress.
Now, this was before I joined SparkPeople, so I was above 200lbs.. probably around 210 or so. So.. finding a good wedding dress was HARD!
In the end, I didn't even wear white- all of the white dresses I found required me to be a size 14 or less.. I ended up wearing a pink floral dress. It worked out well, I suppose.

For the vow renewal, I want it to be another small ceremony. Again, outdoors if possible. I'd like to have my family and my husband's family, and possibly some other extended family members who weren't able to make it to the first ceremony, come.
And I'd like to wear white.

I always figured we'd renew at about 10 years or so... well, I've got a couple more years to get it done!
Lets do this!
