5% Challenge Commitment

My first step is to make sure I am supporting my team. When I do all the assignments that are required, there will be a trickle down effect to benefit me. My last challenge was all about me and I failed. I will take responsibility to follow through on what I said I'd do. I will record my daily exercise and Living the Good Life Points, and on Saturdays I will weigh in and record it. I will check in with my team daily and leave a comments as I have time.

My Diet.... I do not like to say I am on a diet. I have been on many diets. I want to be able to eat what I want but control the portions.
Explanation on "eating what I want" ; I do not mean KFC and Taco Bell. I am referring to the occasional desert and h'ordeurves. My goal is to adapt healthier eating habits, ie more veggies. I have signed up for the local CSA and get a bushel of vegetables every other week. I expose my family to a large array of ethnic and diverse foods. Nothing is off limits. Okay, maybe no alligator or horse.

My exercise plan... I was working out 6 days a week and at a pretty high intensity. But, I was also eating to accommodate all that activity. Guess what. I have put on 10 pds. I want more than anything to be truly "fit" but I felt I was backsliding on my overall health. New plan... walk the dog every day 1 mile. Spin class once a week. Racquetball once a week. Step aerobics once a week. Formal strength class once a week. For fun I have two apps on my iphone for alternative strength workouts , 100 Pushups and 200 Situps. Other promises that I will keep...
I will track my food daily, it truly keeps me honest.
I will track my sleep and make sure I am getting enough.
I will blog when I am having a bad day as well as when things are going well.
I will ask for help when I need it and I will be honest and truthful in these above promises.
I will not drop out.
