Kitty workouts

Everything in my life revolves around my cats. They want to be in the middle of everything I do. They love to hang out with me no matter what I'm doing, especially if it gets in my way and slows me down. Workouts are definitely part of that. Yes, I could go to the gym or run outside, but I really prefer to work out in my own home. One of the reasons is I love kettle bells and my apartment complex definitely doesn't have those in their small gym. I also have to be careful not to pass out, which seems to be an issue right now. However, the best way to help deal with it is to work out. I work out in 10-15 minute bursts right now because that's about all I can handle without getting lightheaded. But back to the kitties. Today has been a particularly interesting workout. Everything I did (remember, I'm swinging a 10 pound kettlebell around) involved watching for the cat and not smacking her in the head. There was lots of jumping and twisting to avoid her, but I did avoid her, and she seems to have settled into her crate for the time being. We're all getting used to eating healthier and I'm getting used to my workouts, and so are the cats. I feel better and my clothes are fitting better. I may not be losing weight (I was amazed at this), but I am getting smaller, judging by my clothes. I must be building muscle, which is a really good thing. I really should take some measurements tonight to have another way to measure my progress.

I also have Vasovagal Syncope. It kind of sucks, but it is awesome that you are working hard to be healthy in spite of the limitations. If I drink a lot of water and eat salt it makes me feel a lot better. Also compression socks are my friend now!

I hear you! Every time I lay down to do any floor exercises you can bet I'll have 1 or 2 cats on me!

I have vasovagal syncope. It happens on occasion, but gets better when I work out regularly and drink lots of water and have enough sodium and potassium. We've talked about it, and for the most part, I know how to prevent them. There are some cases where I can't prevent it (like bad reactions to medications), but for the usual ones, exercise, water and salt help to prevent it.

When I stretch on the floor, my kitty cat gets on the floor flips on her back and stretches right next to me.

I would talk to your doctor about the passing out issue, if you haven't already.
