Thank all of you that commented on my home. I really love my little place and have been very happy here. Being satisfied with your life makes a big difference with your outlook. Always wanting something more can be good in certain cases, but went you do not accept certain things in your life you make yourself unhappy.

Hubby and I came home this afternoon, sat down and relaxed...We both went to the kitchen and started our dinner. We both enjoy the process of preparing our meals and we spend wonderful quality time together. While waiting on things to complete hee asked me if I would change anything in our lives....I caught my breath because I was frightened that he wanted something different. from what we had. I told him I was happy where I was in life. H told me that he was also because one of his co worker was talking about never being able to make his wife happy and he did not know what to do,,,she wants more money, bigger house and a new car and he was worried about not being able to afford everything for her and that if she got it would she be happy or just want more....

I know this co worker and really feel for him...he has spent 22 years only trying to make her happy and all she want is more material things in her life. She was talking to me several weeks ago and she was not happy that she could not have a new ring she saw at the jewelry store. .I feel for him as he works all the hours he can to keep up with what she wants and she never has enough...plus she told me it was not her place to work and help with their life. So sad.....Life is to short not to be happy in life.

This is soooo true. Often the people who are happiest are not the richest, the most attractive, or the ones with the most of anything. They are the ones who are happy with what they have, where they are, and with whom they share their lives. You are truly blessed - thank you for sharing that with us. I would pray for the other couple - things CAN change if they let them.

Ahhhh, how true: being satisfied with your life makes a big difference with your outlook.
I think it is fine to hope for growth and change, but start out being happy (and appreciative) of all that you already have. Life is indeed good :)
