Okay, a few changes going on.
First, effective immediately, my Weigh Ins are going to take place right after work on Saturdays (approx. 1:30pm). It'll probably take a few weeks to get the timing down right, but it'll help.
Why? Because I cannot reliably weigh in at the same time every Wednesday now that my husband and I have that day off. Saturdays, he is now working, and being able to do it right after work helps keep me on schedule. The only snafus I can see regarding this scheduling is if I have to work in the building, or if I have to work extra time for any reason.
Second, I'm going to set up a "rewards" schedule for myself. If I workout Monday-Friday AND exceed my planned calorie burn, I will take the weekend off to rest and recuperate. That's not to say I won't do anything like go to the park or zoo or swim.. and if I go swimming or for a walk, I will bring my HRM so I can still track the burn.
Why? Because I'm exceeding my planned calorie expenditure, and I figure if I can get a GOOD workout those five days, I can give myself the weekend to relax and recuperate. Of course, the calorie expenditure is continually higher than planned, adjustments will be made.
Now there are also a couple changes on the SparkPeople front too.
Nothing major that ya'll need to worry about. My contact information/Username is still the same (as you can see). I'm not opting into the new tracking system either.
What I did change are two things:
- 1) I removed several SparkTeams of mine that were old/outdated/hadn't had any posts/activities in the last month (at the very least!)
- 2) I also updated my weight loss goal. My desired weights are still the same, but I still had June 23rd 2013 as the destination time... which, uh.. meant that the system- more or less- had me eating at the very minimum range (1200-1550) since it was trying to reach a goal whose date had already gone by! Now I've updated it to be 130lbs by June 23rd, 2015, giving myself PLENTY of time this time.. and my calories definitely changed to reflect it. My new range is 1,510 - 1,860 and I feel very confident about this range (although I did overeat today,) because hopefully I'll be better fueling myself for the workouts ahead!
Physically, I'm not seeing much change. Weight loss hasn't been.. well, much of a LOSS recently, but I'm giving it time and this new caloric range may help.
My rings seem to be loose one day and then fitting perfectly the next. I suspect sodium intake on that front. Soon they'll be slide-off-my-finger loose again.. and when they get to the point where I don't feel safe wearing them, they'll go onto a necklace.
Have a great evening everyone!
