People Make a Difference

Saturday, July 13, 2013

Today I want to focus on the many people who are really gifts to me. Their thoughtfulness means so much.

My dear friend (I consider her to be my "sister") took me out to lunch. She gave me thoughtful gifts and made me feel great. She brightens my day every time that we meet. Her friendship is the best gift.

A former student, Melissah, sent me a card. Gosh, it was a few years ago that I taught her. My former superindent sent me a birthday card. She still remembers me and my day.

Two church families are really there as I need help and support. Other church members comment that they read my blog. They always have a cheerful word.

Several church members want to know when I will finally let my friends help.

My pastors have been there for me. They have visited us in the hospital and at home.

I have so many beautiful SparkFriends who send me messages, goodies, hugs, and more. The virtual community at SparkPeople is awesome.

So I am blessed with wonderful people. I may not have kids, parents, and other family members. The relationships with all people make the difference! Thanks !

And sometimes all it takes is one person to make a change in someone's day. That is why I go out of my way to do something silly enough every day to make someone smile or laugh. And I am one to laugh at! I am always doing something not so graceful, so it works out.

I am glad that you have a wonderful support system. SP is a great place to find that support, and especially since no one judges on appearance. Is this almost a perfect world or what?

I'll be here cheering on as you go!
