emoticon So this morning I wanted something other than my usual work breakfast of pancakes (no butter with up to 2T of syrup). My other go-to place is closed for vacation. So, I went to another place and got what I hoped would be a pretty good for me breakfast...UMMM 629 calories LATER! emoticon I had a large oatmeal with 1t of brown sugar and 2t of cinnamon. That's it! Good thing I didn't add raisins! And the cinnamon had almost as many calories as the brown sugar! I still can't believe that one.

629 calories! emoticon I won't be getting that again for sure! Back to my pancakes. emoticon

Here's hoping no more surprises in my food tracker next week...

    I like McDonald's oatmeal when we are on the road. It's good and has fruit in it. Can't remember the calories but nothing like that. One teaspoon of cinnamon powder has 5 calories,2 carbs, and 1 protein. Hmm

    What was in it? 1 cup of cooked oatmeal only has 140 calories in it. I'm missing something because I can't see how it possibly could be 629 calories. If you ate 4 CUPS of oatmeal it would only be 560. Did it have cream on it or something?

    I'll get the oatmeal, egg white and veggie omelette, and fresh fruit at Denny's and then they'll bring 1/4 cup of brown sugar for my oatmeal. emoticon I pretend I didn't see it and my husband devours it. emoticon

    I've ordered healthy sounding restaurant meals before only to find out they're over 1,000 calories. At least you know for the future.

    WOWW!!!!!!! I never would have guessed cinnamon had that many calories.... I always assumed most spices/seasonings had almost no calories never thought to add them in when I cook, gonna have to check more carefully now. Thanks for the tip.
