Horray for Friday. Had a big breakfast this morning but I should be getting some exercise and already have lunch and dinner planned out. Should still be okay. Stupid mom and her mcdonalds drive through. But I could have said no but I was tired and needed a big pick me up plus it was free. ugh......I should have just gotten the coffee in stead of the whole meal. Oh well, can't dread on it. I need to move forward and will!!!! Can't wait for the weekend. Tomorrow should be busy but fun!!!! Then a nice relaxing Sunday!

    You can go ahead and order fast food when that's what's available, just order smart. Check out this site for some ideas:

    For instance, a double quarter pounder with cheese is 750 calories and 42g of carbs (yikes!) but eat it without the bun or the ketchup and it drops to 550 calories and a mere 5g (!!!) of carbs. Knock off the cheese and it's 450 cals and only 2g carbs!!!!

    Most fast food places and nearly all restaurants will be happy to make adjustments, including wrapping sandwiches in lettuce leaves instead of buns.

    Someone just mentioned on a blog about Panera's hidden menu (check out their webpage) - it's also low carb. Heck I even found a moderate-carb treat at Dairy Queen, of all places, a Fudgsicle.

    There's a lot to learn - do it one step at a time!

    I also try to keep some emergency snacks in my bag. You never know when you're going to get stuck working late, or worse, have to pick up some groceries when you're ravenously hungry!

    Sometimes it's better to have something vs. nothing for breakfast- It's great you already have lunch and dinner planned- I find that if I do make a less than desired choice it's ok- I just have to plan the rest of my day accordingly :). emoticon
