Time Flies!

Thursday, July 11, 2013

It's hard to believe that six days have passed since I made my last entry. It's also hard to believe that I am six days closer to being the kind of person who can be proud of herself! I have been religiously tracking my food and exercise. I am checking in daily to Spark Coach as well. I really like the motivation it gives me!

I mentioned to a coworker about SP, in passing, and also mentioned the few pounds I had lost so far. I didn't get much of a response (granted we were pretty busy), but that is OK! I know I am doing well. It's almost like there is a small smile inside me that just won't go away!

Who would have thought that I would be excited about doing a couch to 5k program! I was going to do day 3 yesterday, but my upper endoscopy was moved up (because I whined, and it's my boss). So far no answer to my pain, but we'll wait for biopsy results. I am not going to make pain an excuse, as I have in the past. The morning of the procedure, even though I didn't feel great, I swept my deck, did dishes and then walked to the center, which is about 0.6 tenths of a mile from my home. Before, I would have gotten a ride. I realized that I can fit a little bit of exercise into my day, no matter how weird my schedule is.

There's no place for excuses in my life anymore. Time flies when you are learning about yourself!

CLAIRE, I should hear next week. I already know one test was negative, so I'm not optimistic that there will be any answer, but I can hope! Thanks for sending the good vibes my way! emoticon
