Today is your day to start believing something good is going to happen to you!
Joyce Meyer Ministries
I think I've found what may work for me - podcasts on my IPhone
I took another walk today in my local park and this is what I've decided -
*Gym - no
*Counting calories - no
*Tracking steps - no
*Walking - yes
*Keeping an eye on my choloestrol intake - yes (do you all realize just how little 300 mg is??? But I'll try - may not succeed every day but I'll be mindful of it)
*Walking the distance of the Podcast - whether it be a 15 min one - a 30 min one - an hour one or more - whatever I choose for that day will be what I walk.
So I took my walk today while listening to Joyce Meyer - the podcast was titled Finish What You Start (pt 1). She talked about how we as people are always starting things and then starting new things never completely finishing the first things we started. How true - how many times have many of us started Spark only to get sidetracted only to have to start again? Very intersting and made me think about how if maybe if I simplify my quest for losing weight/better/healthier eating that I wouldn't have so many "start overs". Hence my list above.
On to my walk - the podcast lasted 28 min and in that time this is what I saw -
We had a terrible rain storm yesterday afternoon and as I started over the bridge I took a pic of the small stream
Then I took a path that lead to a newer portion of a walking path and came across a fallen branch
Path to the right is new and hasn't been maintained well but it goes along a long stretch of open space
The path then follows a busy street
Then goes back to meet up where it began
I walked more to finish up the podcast and my hip was starting to really hurt to where I was beginning to hobble - but that's ok - I did what I set out to do. Will I do this EVERY day? Again - maybe - maybe not - but when I do I will always (for now at least) walk to a podcast and take some pictures I hope you will enjoy seeing.
