I survived running club!

Thursday, July 11, 2013

Well I met up with my friend last night and joined the running club! There were all different clinics going, From 5K clinics all the way up to full marathon clinics. They also had a 20 minute challenge event happening last night to celebrate their anniversary! So we got these wicked free hats!! Anyways I joined the 5K clinic, they did 10:1 twice and then a 6:1 to finish off. We ran a total of 3.9K in 29 minutes! That's not too bad for me! My foot was pretty sore at the end of it but I just iced it lots when I got home and it's not too bad now. I was running out of steam near the end but I finished and stayed with the group and I'm proud I did it!!

Sweaty, red faced with my new free hat!!

I don't know if it was the snacking or the running or what but this morning I weighed in and got 175.4!! Holy taledo! That's the lowest I've been in forever!! Woohoo!! My calories were a bit high yesterday but I think with the run and walking they were probably accurate.

Today I had a banana, whole wheat wrap and peanut butter with flaxseed oil for breakfast, 305 calories

Morning snack, coffee and Quinoa cookies!! 132 calories

snack right before my lunch time walk, greek yogurt, granola with omega 3, and raspberries/strawberries, 244 calories

Lunch is my green chicken curry! YUM (BTW Clesher, if you read this, it's just green curry chicken sauce in the international isle at the grocery store, mixed with veggies, chicken and rice!) anyways that is 431 calories

Afternoon snack, carrots and hummus for 90 calories

I'm at 1,202 calories for the day already and haven't accounted for supper emoticon

What to do what to do? Go over by a little bit and have a really light supper? I know I have spinach and tuna at home, I could have a spinach/tuna salad for around 100-150 calories supper. Light and healthy. I don't think skipping meals is the answer, especially since I'm running tomorrow morning. And obviously going over a bit yesterday didn't stop my weight loss today! So that is my plan today!!

I didn't take a new picture of Buster this morning, but figured since it's thursday what a better day then to have a "throwback thursday" picture

Here is my baby boy when we first brought him home

Also today is my friday! I am taking tomorrow off, just because I feel like it! haha we were supposed to be going away but it got cancelled, so I'm not going anywhere but kept the day off! It will be nice!

My bestest friend in the whole wide world is having her birthday party Saturday. I know there is a BBQ which I know how to make healthy choices at BBQ's now (It's bring your own food so I'll bring chicken kabobs!) but the drinks will get me. and I'm going to let it this once. I never get to party with her since she moved away, so I am going to let down my hair and allow myself to enjoy the night and get right back on track Sunday morning!

Hope you all have a fantastic weekend!!!

AWESOME!! I am glad your foot made it through too. :)

Wow, I thought Buster was cute now but he was absolutely adorable as a puppy. How did you not spoil him rotten?

    Keep up the great work!

I love that you joined running club and I love that you totally kicked butt at the first clinic!
Your food sounds great, and I think you're right that skipping is not the answer. Keep doing what you're doing...it's working!!!
