Today I am forcing myself to believe those last two words. "Worth It." As I was getting some appointments scheduled and paying my huge bill this morning at the doctor's office I took a big sigh and the receptionist smiled at me and said, "You're worth it." I am totally having to put myself in a place of priority for the next month and that has brought some feelings of guilt (that I must put aside) and tears because of how much time financially and time-wise this path to health is currently going to take. So yes...I have to believe that I am worth it.

What's coming? I have to go in 2x/week for three weeks for 1 to 1 1/2 hours of IV therapy (mega doses of Vit. C) and I need to continue my weekly visit with the doctor to continue work on my knee. The IV therapy is to strengthen my blood and to detox my liver. Both are not in the greatest shape right now. The live blood test today showed my blood is still dehydrated, but they could see more today to see that there is a lot of yeast and fungus along with a few parasites. Those I tackle with some things he sent home with me. It also showed major liver toxicity so more stuff sent home and all of this works with the IV treatments. He did advise I not try the mega dose of B5 right now until things are strengthened and settled a bit.

On the knee front.... it was helpful that I'd had the neurotherapy yesterday by the other doctor as this one could go deeper without causing me extreme pain today. Found that most of my leg muscles are not working properly so he spent a lot of time getting the muscles restarted and the knee is feeling so good this afternoon. I go back Monday for my work on the knee.

Didn't have time to do a full food testing today but he did test my supplements and found a couple that are causing more harm than good.

On another topic... kids both did great at swim lessons today and both went off the diving board easily. Yeah! Afterwards we raced to McDonald's for lunch as we had limited time to eat and get to their counseling appointments. Loved having those at the same time! Now we're home and they are playing outside so once done here I plan to take a nap and then I'll work on supper.

Tomorrow: First IV treatment at 8:30, swim lessons at 11:30, massage at 7:00. The doc showed me a couple spots to have the massage therapist work on too.

BL Challenge - Team Emerald: Tomorrow is our team's week 4 weigh-in. I'm thinking I should show a loss this week if the scale is as kind in the morning as it was today.

    Hi there,

You know, I love, love, love the pool but I won't dive off the board. I will dive off the side of the pool but not off the board. Your kids are doing well.

That is a lot of medical stuff and as I head into surgery number # 46 in the past 12 years on Friday, I do feel some guilt at what my husband deals with and our medical costs as well. However, we are needed to feel good to be at our best as parents and teachers and in doing God's work. We need to do the best that we are able and it takes good health to start with.

    Take care of yourself!
    Gentle hugs,

Wow, liver! That could be serious, so it is good they are helping it early.

I'm glad Maegann seems to have mastered jumping into the pool. (I was only able to get to a semi-kneeling plunge into the pool. No diving boards for me.) I'm also glad the counseling appointments were at the same time since that saves time all around!
