Stop the Excuses Not to Exercise

I believe that I am probably the professional excuse maker to get out of exercise that I have ever met. But I want to tell you that has not held me back!

I am 69 years old and I am proud to say that I exercise 6 days a week. I take Sunday off, but I still manage to get in 20 min. of walking that day.

I try to switch up my routine to keep it interesting. Most days I use Leslie Sansone walking videos/dvds for my main option along with my Spark People dvds. I just started doing 40 push ups every other day. And I switch around on my treadmill, exercise bike, cardioglyder and my gazelle. I also walk outside when it is not hot and humid. My asthma kicks up if it's humid. I do cardio/strength training and stretching exercises.

One of my best excuses is "But my fibromyalgia, arthritis, etc. is hurting. When that happens I pull out my less strenuous exercises and workout anyway. I find that when I do that I am not in near as much pain. Amazing???

Let's put away our excuses and get moving!!!
