Working out in Africa

I arrived to Africa in March. Celebrating before coming I had put on 20lbs to the already 30 lbs I had gained in college. I nearly died. When coming to my site where I now am stationed. One lady, told me how fat I am and that I'm too young to be this fat...while its a culturally acceptable I guess to say how fat a person is here, I still think that may have been my wake up call. She was right. Since that day, the very next day I started working out with the Nike Training App each day, and even run every now again. I tracked meals with Sparkpeople although my Iphone doesn't work here, so I couldn't sync it properly. The no fast food around makes it easier to make healthy choices. However, there have been days, which if you are not already an emotional eater at times try throwing yourself in Africa away from friends and family and you may just eat way to many biscuits. No more biscuits in my house! There have only been 2 days in which I missed a workout, which I was sick so I am on the right track! 2 months stong and still going! Today I did my work out with some of the children who live near my house. It was hilarious! and I'm sure now I will have someone to workout with each day. I need to practice my language skills so I can communicate with them because their form was awful! Ha. I can't wait until next month to see if I have lost any weight, since arriving in country when I weighed myself at the end of May I had lost 30 lbs! That was just after living with my host family and my initial first month of exercising at my own place. Hoping to get my motivation going!
