Baby Supplies!

Monday, July 08, 2013

My mother and I went to Babies R Us today and ordered the babies' cribs and a dresser for the nursery - yay! It's nice to have some of that big stuff taken care of now. Plus, Babies R Us gives you a 10% discount on certain of the big ticket type items - furniture, strollers/car seats, etc. when you are buying two or more of them for multiples. So we got the cribs for 10% off, which definitely helps when you're having to buy two!

They also had a nice double jogging stroller....for $300. Ouch. But it might be nice to have...though for a while after they're born, it'll be too cold and they'll be too small to be able to ride in one while I go jogging. So that can wait. Mommy absolutely insists on getting her exercise though! At least, she does for now. :) Lord only knows how exhausted I'll be when the babies are actually here and being all demanding. Jogging may not happen too often then! But it is my hope that by continuing to exercise as best I can now (I keep up with my strength-training, I bike, I walk, I jog), I'll be able to recover from delivery faster and be better able to physically deal with twin babies - so hopefully I'll be able to keep on exercising faaairly regularly after they arrive.

Anyways, on the way home we also stopped at a Dick's and I got some new running shoes because my old ones died suddenly and died hard - it gets pretty painful to walk in them now. I know that plenty of preggo ladies go jogging, but I did kind of wonder as I was running around the little trackt hey have in the shoe section what people might be thinking of this woman with a giant pregnant belly jogging around the store. Anyhoo, I'm hoping my feet will be much happier now!

So it was a nice productive day - I jogged for an hour, I did strength training for an hour, I got nursery furniture ordered, and I got my desperately-needed new running shoes!
