Tough Times

Monday, July 08, 2013

Hi Everyone: Many have noticed that I have been away for a month or so. My mom was diagnosed with terminal cancer a month ago. She has never been sick and this came out of know where. The cancer is in her abdominal organs and she is going down hill fast.

They say 6 months or so - but she is struggling to keep food down and has lost her will to fight. She is using her faith in God to get her through these last months and is quite at peace wiyh the whole thing.

It is very tough knowing we have so many things to talk about - and not knowing if there will be enough time. We cherish every minute together , every phone call every smile and hug.

So go hug your moms - and say lots of I love you's to everyone around every day.

Take care all.

I'm so sorry. I went through what you are going through, with my mother. She made it a year but her suffering was great and it was a blessing when she died. I miss her so. After I lost her, my husband of nearly 30 years died on her birthday. Sometimes I feel so alone. I'm thankful that you have your husband, to help see you through. My heart goes out to you and to your mother.

so sorry, I hope she gets where she doesn't feel quite so sick- it is so unfair people have to suffer so before they pass.
Thinking of you and your mom during this sad time. emoticon

Hugs, I lost both my parents to Cancer when they were in their 60's. My Dad was very much at piece and my Mom was angry! Dad went first so I think she was depressed when she was diagnosed in less then six months from his death. Yes, we never know how long we have them. Hug your Mom and enjoy the time you have left! emoticon
