Animal Night Last Night

Sunday, July 07, 2013

So, we're sitting there watching a movie and look at our back door at the cat...he brought a gift to us (the first at this house)...a rabbit almost as big as the cat! emoticon Great.

We then take our dogs for a walk. The little one is a blue tick coonhound. He LOVES sniffing out animals. Every now & then a deer will cross the street before we get to that area. Our little one goes crazy searching out the deer once we get to where they crossed the road. Well, he got away from my husband last night chasing down...a possum! emoticon Thank goodness the dog was still on the leash (so we could pull him out of the woods) and the possum played dead just inside the woods (so we didn't have to go through Florida palmetto bushes to find him. And thank goodness he didn't hurt the poor possum just scared him a bit.

Hopefully tonight will be less traumatic for the wild animals in our neighborhood!

Wow, your cat must really love you, a rabbit doesn't sound like an easy task. I had a persian that was old as Moses and blind as a bat, I walked past the sliding glass doors to the patio and there she sat with one raccoon on one side and two on the other, all four just staring at me, my other three cats were cringing in the corner. The others brought the usual presents such as birds, she just brought home strange friends. Hope you have a relaxing evening tonight.
