Home again

Sunday, July 07, 2013

I am home. Dh and I decided to get out of Dodge and it was a good thing we did - temperatures went to frying here (120 is just too much for anyone). We were up on the Mogollon Rim where I wore a sweatshirt and jeans several days in a row (loving every moment.) We had been in the process of trying to plan this getaway with plans of convincing health workers to let dh play all the nurses roles, when my picc line got pulled. So off we went - with dh keeping a very close eye on me and my activities to avoid further issues with tendonitis, etc. It was a little hard to not be able to hike with the abounding opportunities, but it helped having my fanny parked next to a lake where we pulled out our trout limit on almost a daily basis. God is so good to us! Ten days later, we headed back home for my ds and dgs birthday celebrations. What a great time together as family. We had a blast yesterday. So, I am truly a blessed woman. Was a little nervous as I forget to pack the scale (especially with the out-of-hand upward trend I have been experiencing), but was pleased to find out several pounds had dropped (so it was those pesky meds). Now to stick to what feels like the enormous amounts of water, vitamins, making homemade yogurt, and whatever else I can do to help my body out. Have a few doc appts this week and a 1/4 mile walk is cause for celebration at this point (also have a very pesky facial "folliculitis" due to infections and meds if anyone has had any success treating). However, I am so very grateful first to God Who is always keeping me, Who made our amazing bodies, Who knows all things and is always in control. Then to my devoted dh (30 years now) and loving children and grandchildren. And last, but not least, to my sp friends who prayed and continue to encourage me with supportive words and sharing their own journeys.
