Stayed on track....

Friday, July 05, 2013

Well, knew it was going to be hot, so Buddy and I were on our walk was already 28C before 10am... so we just did our regular walk, it was way too hot and muggy already to even try the 3rd lap....

Took MIL to town and it was 6:30 by the time we got home and i was STARVED. WE picked up a BBQ chicken and salads etc. But, I was able to have the chicken and then I ate a can of yellow beans and some salad I had in the fridge... Hit a great deal, ground turkey for about $1 a lb. today, and yes, though I usually share, today, I bought the whole half dozen of them. So, in this heat tonite, I was frying meat to freeze... takes up so much less room and then it's ready on a moment's notice.

REst of the weekend is going to be over 30C too..... WHEW!!

I love how you always get great deals. You'll have to tell me how you do it.

You enjoyed a very busy day for sure! WAY TO GO on getting such a great deal on the turkey. Hope you were able to fry it without heating up the kitchen to much more. THANK YOU for sharing that tidbit of info about it taking up less space in the freezer. I will definitely be trying that for sure!!!
Enjoy the rest of your weekend and everything that comes your way.
    Blessings and hugs,

I buy up meat products when they are on a deal like that too. It helps so you can stay on a food regime a lot easier without having to worry about not being able to afford to stay with it. It also one of the reasons I harvest various fruits and veggies, to freeze, dehydrate or can. Free is always good ! :)

Good job keeping yourself prepared and stayiong on track, even when it is so hot out! Keep it up!
