thank you for your prayers

Friday, July 05, 2013

Thank you, everyone, who prayed for my son-in-law's father.
He gained his freedom on Independence Day when he passed away peacefully last night.

I appreciate all the prayers that were lifted for him and his family.

Everyone in the family seems to be at peace with his passing. He was a very loving man and they are glad he is no longer suffering and stuck in situation that they know he would not want.

My son-in-law, daughter, and grandson, although they will miss him, seem to be doing very well. I only spoke to my son-in-law's mother just briefly an hour or so after he died. She seems to also be doing as well as anyone could expect under the circumstances.

I will miss him, too, as I was quite fond of the man.
Thank you again for all your prayers.

Went though a similar passing with my farther-in-law (some years ago now). It also was very difficult on the immediate family, despite a living will that was meant to spare them from having to make the hard decision to let him go. It was the right choice, and what he would have wanted, but still so difficult when faced with that final decision. I pray in time they will feel at peace with his death and fondly hold their memories of his life.
