Day 2 of 30 day juice fast
Friday, July 05, 2013
Good morning! My day got started after only four hours' sleep when I woke up for the third time during the night to pee (I went to sleep at 1230am). I couldn't return to sleep, so I got up and washed dishes and then surfed the web. At 730am I started prepping vegetables for juicing tomorrow's meals. I imagine I will return to bed at some point today to take a nap, but maybe I'll plow my way through the day and go to bed early. We shall see.
The juices we made yesterday were all delicioius. I especially enjoyed the Pepper Punch - from Jason Vale, the Super Green Detox from Hungry for Change, and the Watering Pineapple from Joe Cross's Reboot team. The first and the latter have beets in them so they're sweet, perfect for snacks or desserts. The green juices were all fantastic. I think we will juice the Mean Green and the Super Green Detox every day as staples and then change up the other juices to suit our interests.
Other than feeling tired, I did have a bit of a headache, but nothing too bad. When I felt light-headed or hungry I simply drank a juice. In all I drank seven juices yesterday, 3 500ml and 4 250 ml. In total 2.5 L juice, so that is quite a lot. I know from past experience that I will drink less juice as I go on.
Here are the juices we are enjoying today:
