July Fourth Holiday!

Today was a nice easy day at work. Much slower pace than yesterday. Everyone bought their groceries and bailed for their cabins or lake places. Jim dropped me off at work and went to the gun club and did my second Range Attendant shift for me. Then picked me up and we headed home. Worked on antenna setup for a while and also got some yard work done while he was doing that. I trimmed some lilacs that were hanging over our fence from our neighbors yard. Cleaned up some old leaves by the fence too. Looks much nicer and cleaner now. Figured that was almost as good as a walk for a workout.

Had two auctions end on ebay tonight. One was for a model horse buggy/trade wagon I had. Was amazed it went for almost $130. Did not expect that!

Heres is a photo of the buggy. The horse wasn't part of the sale, just was in the photo to show how it looked with a model horse and for scale. Here is a picture without the horse.

The other auction was for an old fly rod that Jim had as a kid. Was pretty beat and missing the tip section. But did sell for $10.50. Better than sitting around gathering dust. emoticon

Watching the new Wizard of Oz movie. Pretty different, not sure if we will buy this one. We just rented it from Redbox.

Frank Baum wrote the Wizard of Oz books when he lived in South Dakota. His wife was a native South Dakotan. I think they lived in Aberdeen.
