Dog is God spelled backwards!

Thursday, July 04, 2013

I dont't know who wrote this. I got it in an e-mail and it was part of a power point presentation and then got it again as a video but just saved the words. Will try to find the author later so I can give her credit. For right now I just wanted to post because I scrapped my plans to travel today and just stayed home, working in the garden and enjoying my dogs-who spent most of the day running in to sit by the a/c and cool off away from those noisy firecrackers and screaming fireworks. And it was in cuddling and comforting them that I had to dig in my files to find this and share it.

"I look up and I see God, I look down and see my dog.
Simple spelling G O D, same word backwards, D O G.
They would stay with me all day. I'm the one who walks away.
But both of them just wait for me, and dance at my return with glee.
Both love me no matter what - divine God and canine mutt.
I take it hard each time I fail, but God forgives, dog wags his tail.
God thought up and made the dog, dog reflects a part of God.
I've seen love from both sides now, it's everywhere, amen, bow wow.
I look up and I see God, I look down and see my dog.
And in my human frailty...I can't match their love for me"

Hope you all had/are having a wonderful 4th of July cuddling with those you love the most! emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon
