I got my first sports related injury of life (outside of normal soreness and the minor stuff I forgot from my childhood) I just fell on my knee going too low during a Zumba cool down. I have my first body combat tonight though and it only hurts a bit today when I bend it so I think I'm just going to use some Advil, walk it out and modify my movements if it does start to bother me.

I went on a clothes shopping binge for the first time since my weight loss journey began and I loved it!! I hit a thrift shop because ideally my purchases will be too big in a few months and certainly won't be re-used next spring or summer. It was interesting to see how much brands vary in their sizing. I picked up a summer dress, size 12 that fit beautifully!! Found a casual dress size 14 that I can do up but is too tight to wear (but loved it and bought it anyway for a whole $10), also got a few cute tops size L and XL and size 15 and 16 shorts that fit well. Glad I was brave and ventured outside of the XLs. All I need is a bathing suit.. I'll splurge on a new one) and my vaca shopping will be complete!!

I'm a very shy person, despite my job of being a waitress. I'm surprised at how many customers really notice me though. Many of my regulars have made comments and praised me for my new appearance. It's keeping me motivated but I'm still self conscious of people who don't know what I looked like before over hearing and thinking, "damn, you've got a LONG way to go..." My healthier choices are also helping me to stay smiley and gives me a confidence boost that's very apparent. I'm really hoping that's the case and not that people really did allow my size/appearance to influence their gratuities, which have rocked lately!!

Turns out I don't have my proper high school sciences to enter my program of choice this fall so I'll be doing some upgrading and hopefully be prepared to enter the Health and Fitness program at college in September. I've already started on one of the text books and am enjoying what I'm reading so far but honestly don't fully understand it.

I'm patiently waiting BLC 19 and look forward to my new role as a team leader!!
