Healthy Fourth of July

This year for the fourth of July I have decided not to gorge on all my favorite cook out items. Yes I will still have a cheeseburger, but with ketchup not mayo and only one slice of cheese. I will also have some corn on the cob. However I will do my best to keep my carb intake of pasta salad to a minimum and get out and play with my little girl to get me moving.
Instead of letting all the food overpower me I will control my portion sizes and selections this year so that I do NOT feel guilty once the day is done and ruin all the progress I have made. Its not about cutting out everything, but enjoying smaller portions of things that are not so good for you and consuming more of what is healthy. I wish everyone a safe and fun 4th of July and stay healthy!
