Low today

Thursday, July 04, 2013

Well, good news is, I didn't go over my calories, and I did some walking & some ST.

Bad news, I'm 400 under my low end. *grimace*. So I need some advice, fellow Sparkers. I've been not feeling so great lately, so I've been getting up late. Which means breakfast is at about 10 or 10:30. Which puts lunch at like 2. Dinner at about 9-10. Bed at midnight. NOT a good schedule, I know, but I haven't been able to change it! Hubby's been getting up with Nathan.

After this wacky schedule, I'm ending up under my low end of calories - today by about 450! I know this isn't good, but there's not really any more room in my tummy, and I know it's cause I made a mess of my eating schedule. Any advice (Besides just getting up earlier - I'm working on that) would be much appreciated!

Can you keep different juices (orange, apple, tropical etc) at hand - usually I avoid those because I don't want the extra sugar but it is a great way to get in some vitamin C and easy calories. I like the smoothie idea as well. Protein helps with getting through fatigue sometimes as well. Feel better! emoticon

You are probably just going through the normal fatigue you get with a new baby, so listen to your body. What I did during those years was I napped when the baby napped. That kept me on a good schedule and helped me keep up my energy I needed to care for a baby. But as others said just listen to your body, and make sure it is not the blues but a health problem. For me I have to read my body. If I am tired I rest. If I don't I will get sick. Take care and hopefully you can get back to a regular schedule. Moni

You can make some smoothies that are a bit higher in calories. Add some juice, frozen fruit & maybe some protein powder.

I generally lose weight when I eat like that, especially when my breakfast is very late. I tend to want to eat like a Spaniard--VERY late and with lunch as the largest meal--it's my natural body rhythm, but it doesn't work very well living in the United States.

I think that you are fine as long as this isn't a long-term pattern. An extra sandwich or smoothie should help you keep up. I like to eat yogurt or cottage cheese and fruit when I am not very hungry.

    Feel better soon!

One day at a time, one good choice at a time. Good luck, you can do it!

Have some shakes so your metabolism won't slow down or your body go into starvation mode and not lose any weight.

    Good Luck
