Tuesday and Wednesday-slower?

Wednesday, July 03, 2013

Okay this is not the week to go swimming or mow the lawn so I'll have to work on that. Yesterday, Tuesday, I got up did my morning routine, had breakfast, worked on my office-a tiny bit, cut out some animals to give to the hospital to comfort those in the emergency, then I went to knitting/crocheting group. I enjoy going it's my free time with other ladies of various talents, ages, health situations and family situations and sizes! emoticon They are all kindly and are willing to complement, offer a hand with difficult stitches, or share patterns. We talk and work on our projects. Many of us have determined that it's not a good idea to take a difficult pattern there, unless learning or teaching something. We get to talking and mess up. Then we are pulling apart-such is life.
I got home did a load of laundry swept my bathroom, and started going through papers in the living room. Then my cousin from Austria skyped me. We skyped through Erik's shower and his TV show (1h23 min), finally the poor guy said "HUNGRY" so I signed off with my cousin and Erik and I went out to eat. We came back and I talked to a friend and did some more cutting out and knitting.
Today, I got going, worked on Erik's and my spreadsheets for our expenses-his is for the judge, mine for tax purposes. I cleaned another corner of my living room, then went grocery shopping. When I got home, after putting the groceries away, I cut some more little animals out-it's tedious and I don't like to do too many at once. I'd rather sew them, but they have to be cut out first. I have taken some to the volunteer co-ordinator at the hospital, and had not taken pictures-I'll post some pics another day.
I fixed lunch. Then when Erik got home I had to drive him to his favorite beverage store-40 minutes away. When we got home he showered and I vacuumed. Then I fixed fish, fries-mostly for him and green beans. For desert I had 1/4 cup of icecream.
Now I have to go back to work. emoticon Four of my children will be here, Erik of course, and three others and 4 of the 6 grandchildren. I'm providing the meat emoticon emoticon . They are bringing the rest.

Looks like you are doing great, busy and still had a good day. Keep it up. My mom is getting better slowly. She can now get up off her chair without help and use her walker to get to the bathroom. She still needs help in there. She also wheeled herself from her room all the way down the long hall to the dining room. She is improving, but it's slow. There is still no word of her getting into a nursing home. She has been having a few angina attacks so until they get them under control, she won't be moving. Have a blessed day, Ginie.
