A good tired

Tuesday, July 02, 2013

Good evening all. I thought I would give an update as to what's happening in my world. My middle child (15 year old Chailland) recently returned from cross country camp and is pumped. After returning she has been going to basketball open gyms daily. She is helping me to want to stay motivated. My son (19 year old Hunter) is enjoying his job. He was able to go camping with "the guys" from his graduating class -- they had a blast. We live about 5 miles from the beautiful Current River and they spent a couple of days kayaking and tubing the river. Although most of them didn't use sunblock like they should have they still had a great time. My youngest daughter (soon to be 13 year old Savanah) has been enjoying playing summer softball. Her final tournament is scheduled for the 9th. I hope they do well.

My husband and I spent the afternoon mowing and weed eating our 3 1/2 acre yard. Our zero turn mower is in the shop right now so we decided "Oh well pushing is better exercise anyway." WOW I am SPENT! lol Back is sore but calories burned was great! However, I did splurge a little for dinner tonight.

Okay so I have a confession. . . I do not know all of these abbreviations that everyone uses. I usually can figure things like this out, but some of these really trip me up. The funny thing is I am a special education administrator and we use abbreviations for everything. This has opened my eyes that maybe I should explain to our parents instead of just assuming they know everything we are talking about lol.

All in all things are going well. There's always room for improvement. I think that when I return to work in a couple of weeks I will be able to do a little better, but shoot I sure am liking the time off.

Have a great and blessed evening. Talk to you all soon.

I enjoyed reading your blog! You'll have to ask your kids about all the abbreviations (that's how I learned - lol!)
I work in a school as well, and know what you mean about all the abbreviations! I work in the principal's office and after each of our meetings, I had to get the other secretary to tell me what all the acronyms were for! It was like they were speaking a foreign language!

I just recently learned a bunch of the abbreviations. Learn new ones every day too, some of them I didn't even want to know when I learned them. I like the good ones like DH-dear husband, or LOL which you know.
Sounds like you had a wonderful busy day. Your children sound fun.
