Busy day

Tuesday, July 02, 2013

I am writing this and not going to stay up late tonight. Had a great time today at the pool. I am getting stronger and more flexible. I am continuing to have great blood sugar readings without taking insulin. Talked to an insurance company "health coach" this morning. She was BLOWN away by my progress and my story. She told me she knows of and it is a great resource. I was pretty sure that the call would not provide me with much NEW information because I have been working on this process for longer than the young woman has been alive - but talking to her guarantees a lower insurance premium for me. She mentioned that my lab work was all great - in fact AWESOME - but my waist measurement still puts me at risk. I pointed out that I have a LONG way to go to get to a 30 inch waist but that I am really quite content with my progress. She then told me that she could see that I am doing well, but that MANY people don't know nearly as much about their lab work or the risks they face so she is there to help. She thanked me for my time and I felt that it was worth doing even if only to help my pocketbook.

My drive home was pretty uneventful - only 2 deer and they weren't behaving strangely. I did notice the large number of lightening bugs though and when I got home was serenaded by a whippoorwill - calling out to tell me to WHIP POOR WILL. LOL

I hope everyone gets a great night's sleep and awakes ready to face the day ahead. I wasn't sure I would get to the pool tomorrow but Ed said he thought maybe he would go with me after we run our errands in the morning. SO . . . don't be surprised if I don't get on for long or get to everyone's messages. I will play catch up on the 4th because the POOL IS CLOSED - LOL

Sleep well and rest quietly confident in the arms of love.

That phone call to your insurance company was very worthwhile. You are fortunate to have such good customer service with your insurance rep. It seems to me a lot of people giving good/helpful customer service seems to unfortunately be a thing of the past. I'm so glad you're strengthened your body and bs readings with all the swimming and exercise you're doing plus eating a lot healthier now. I'm trying to catch up on Spark as I haven't been on here too much the last couple of days. . .You know your are one of my favorite friends so I try to read your blog(s) first. Continue onward Nancy as you're improving your Healthy which is absolutely wonderful!! I'm so happy for You. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

PS Nancy, I know my waist hasn't been 30" since I was a kid. I thought I had read that around 35" was still in a good range, but not really sure about that. emoticon

I'm so happy your blood sugar is behaving! And it's nice to hear of the pleasant conversation you had with the insurance lady. So many these days have bad experiences with things like that...sometimes people talk down to you, or are just plain rude...

Enjoy whatever your day brings tomorrow. emoticon

emoticon on making the pool a priority, and it does indeed help flexibility and range of motion, and builds strength, and increases endurance.
emoticon on your improved numbers, and the fact that it is being noted by your insurance company! emoticon
Keep up the good work!!! emoticon
