Damn you Shakeology!

Tuesday, July 02, 2013

So I got a free 7-day sample of the Chocolate Shakeology mix with my Turbo Jam- OMG soooo good and so impressed with the nutrients and vitamins. I immediately started looking at ordered another pack. *gulp* $130 for a 30 day supply!!!??!

So I'll use my sampler and then go back to the protein powder i just bought at the drug store- IsoFemme- it actually tastes better. It doesn't have the same nutrients- but I could pay $50 and get some NanoGreens- which has 10 servings of fruits and veggies in one glass, so it packs a nutritional punch!

Or I could get a vanilla protein powder and use it in a green smoothie with my breakfast- will probably be just as good and much cheaper. Damn Shakeology - you were too good to be true.

First off, Shakeology is not a protein is nutrition. There's just no comparison with other shakes (believe me, I have checked!) I am a personal trainer and am management at the gym I train so I have looked into all of these. Shakeology is the best hands down. If you go to the store and buy all the ingreidents to make Shakeology it is over 500 bucks (true story).

There are actually ways to save on Shakeology and get it for $95; which makes it a lot better! Plus, the cost...if you look at it this way, you are replacing a meal; therefore,, it is not an addition to your grocery list, it is a replacement. Plus, it saves you so much time because you don't have to make breakfast or whatever meal you decide to make this for.

Nanogreens is awesome, but not near as nutritional as Shakeology. Shakeology has probiotics in it, which nanogreens does not. Shakeology has more of your daily dosage of vitamins than Nanogreens. You would have to mix Nanogreens, nanopro, and nanoepa to get even close to what Shakeology offers...which is around 170 bucks. So you might as well get the Shakeology.

Plus, looking at it this way..a really healthy meal will cost you around 4 to 7 bucks. If you get the chicken, fresh veggies, whole wheat pasta, etc...Shakeology is at the bottom end of that at $4.30 per serving; unless you go for the discount, which winds up being $3.20 per serving. Not too Shabby!

I've thought that about the price too. I've debated trying them, but couldn't justify the cost. Enjoy Turbo Jam!!

I was so excited when I could finally afford to buy a month's worth of Shakeology. It has such amazing ingredients! Unfortunately, I had strange side effects, including extreme fatigue. I had to send mine back. I was so disappointed, but it did save me a lot of money!

I have always wondered how those shakes taste. They sell them at the gym I go to but I thought the cost was just too high. I also use a protein powder from a health food store, way cheaper!

Yeah! Shakeology is so good. I have the greenberry - which despite my initial apprehension because of the color, tastes great. I have a problem with justifying the $130 purchase so i just order every few months and use it mainly for the shakeology 3 day cleanses and the rest of the time just try to eat as cleanly as possible.

All the best with the turbo jam - Burn It Up!!. emoticon
