Sunday's Sickness

Monday, July 01, 2013

Danny has been doing very little the past four days, since starting chemotherapy, but sleeping. He has eaten very little - quite a change from his usual very robust appetite. It reminds me, in a scary way, of how he acted before his cancer was first diagnosed.

Today, in spite of a LOT of anti-nausea drugs (I have even been waking him up at 3 A.M. every day to take a pill), he got sick. He ate nothing all day until tonight when I made him some tomato soup, which is his favorite. He ate his bowl of soup, and didn't even keep it down for five minutes before he threw it all up.

I guess I knew there would be days like this, but all I can think right now is how long the road ahead is.

That must be so frustrating and scary. I am so sorry that you all are having to go through this. I hope it won't be much longer before he is strong and healthy again. You both are in my prayers. emoticon emoticon

I'm so sorry. :( Did the doctor recommend any types of foods that are generally tolerated better than others during the chemotherapy process? Poor Danny.. hope he's he's able to keep food down again soon.
