An unintended break.

I haven't dropped off of the face of the earth...but I have been down and out. Last weekend I woke up from a nap and promptly fell down trying to get out of bed. Weird. I put off going to the doctor, but kept having pain in my lower back and legs.

Finally I went yesterday and as it turns out I have a majorly inflamed sciatic nerve. Effectively I just need to stop lifting heavy things for a while, and take it easy on the exercise. Sadly, I cannot run or row for the next six weeks.

So, this week has been a bust. However, I'll be back next week once things settle down. I'm looking forward to getting back to normal. Needless to say, I'm done with not being able to do things. I will never take my body and health for granted again! I much prefer to feel exhausted from working out, then like a bum who needs help getting off the couch!

BUT - there has been good news! We signed a lease for our new rental this week! YAY! If I felt better I would have done a jig I was so happy. It's bigger than we had hoped or expected, and we get two floors of a historic row house. I'm THRILLED!

Anyways, I'm still here...plugging along, and figuring out what exactly I'm going to need to do to keep losing while my body heals. Definitely something I need to be working on!

    Have you tried adjusting your fitness settings? That will change your calorie numbers
