"Exercise makes her clothes fall off....."

Friday, June 28, 2013

Have you ever heard the song, "Tequila makes her clothes fall off"? Well I had that situation last night, not with tequila but with exercise. LOL

(Here is the song for your listening pleasure....)

I missed my lunch workout yesterday so I had to make it up in the evening. I biked to my son's baseball game. Sprinted home to beat my hubby with the car. (I WON!)

I got home dripping with sweat for biking so fast and coming up those hills. I figured I might as well finish up my workout since I was already dripping with sweat. I didn't change clothes because I didn't want to waste time and quite frankly, my capris and shirt were already a little sweaty from the biking. I only had 12 minutes of Cross Fit to complete so I thought what the heck.. why change.

My Cross Fit workout of the day was to do the following exercises for 12 minutes. I had to do:

10 burpess
25 double cross jumps (I just did regular jump rope)

I started the stop watch and I was off! Although I had a bit of a problem. I was super sweaty already and my shirt was bothering me and I had a tank under it so I whipped off my shirt. Then my socks were bugging me (I was doing this workout in just socks. No shoes.... not recommended). So I whipped off my socks.

Well then.... you see my capris are a little too big and with all the jumping they were falling down. So.....

I took off my pants too! emoticon emoticon

I ended up finishing up the workout in just my tank and undies. Hubby came down and goes, "what the heck are you doing"...."the patio window is open and the neighbors can see you". (Well it was dark and I don't think they saw me.) LOL... I didn't care. Those pants were bugging me and it felt much better having less clothes on. That 12 minutes was really long with all those burpees and jump roping.

I ended the workout by putting back on my clothes and telling my kids that it was safe to come down stairs. LOL!

And here is what my face looked like with all the sweat....

Have you ever exercised in your underwear???

(Side comment.... I would NEVER do this in public. LOL)

Best blog I've read in a while - Love this!
I like that my clothes sort of hold me together when I work out, but have definitely done yoga is just the skivvies, with much the same experience -- this shirt is in my way, these pants are twisting funny... next thing you know...! lol.

My daughter makes sure I close the door to our downstairs living room when I work out or even stretch because she doesn't like to hear my moaning and sighing, lol!

Now... One other thing... your confidence is ROCKIN'!!! I love that you beat the band home, and THEN did BURPEES. That's freakishly awesome. ;)

You are nothing if not dedicated...and hilarious!! I love that you let nothing get between you and your goals. I've ended up in a similar situation from overheating. But nobody walked in on me!!

So have you thought about changing careers like one that requires removal of clothing!
Just kidding! I will never listen to that song the same way and maybe I just need to add it to my rotation for a quick smile! And yep I get the pants being to big that is how my running shorts are right now!

I love the new lyrics to a great song! I have exercised without shoes and in a sports bra and shorts but never without pants. I would have loved to have been a fly on the wall to see the DH expression.

OMG- too funny! love it - I can imagine the hubby's face when he walked in LOL! I've done simliar in a workout - not to that extreme but yes pulled off a shirt during workout with just a sports bra on then. Of course as soon as I am done still dripping sweat, the doorbell rings with the neighbor staring at me through the front door. UGH! LOL Thanks for the smile!

Way to go keeping going despite some (fairly amusing!) obstacles. That's some killer determination. I'm pretty sure I've done some yoga near-naked before when I was too lazy to put on workout clothes. Haha.

That's a good song. Lol. Love it that you kept up & finished your workout. I have kicked shoes off during a workout, & have had to pull up loose pants, but don't think I've actually taken clothes off. Thanks for the smile. Would have loved to seen the look on your hubbys face when he walked in. Way to go!!
