A Program in the progress

Thursday, June 27, 2013

Right now I am working on a program. I could never just jump right into doing something. I have to plan it out so that I can mentally prepare myself. When I first found this site I did just jump right into it and I was doing good for a couple months and then I got a cold. When I was feeling better I never got back to work. The drive was already gone.

I plan to start things out slow and each week add about 10 minutes more. My aunt also wants to start the Atkins diet but she first wants to do a no carb fast for a couple weeks. Not sure how long that would last because carbs are very hard to cut down.

If I am able to stick with my plan and to stick with a diet (eating healthier) I should be at 168 by my birthday, Nov 1st. That's 12.5 pounds a month. If anything I would just love to be out of the 200s club. Even better, I would like to be at 180 by my birthday. That was my weight when I started high school.

I am also going to start a journal where I log everything from food to exercise to feelings.

Other things I plan to do: go to bed early, get up early to do yard work, cut down on tv, stop drinking pop, and work more on my writing. I know that last thing has nothing to do with being healthy but it will keep me away from the TV and keep me from snacking on junk food.

Not sure when I'll start the program but it needs to be soon. Right now my stomach doesn't like food in it so probably when Im feeling better.

Planning is good and taking small steps is the way to go. It is also great to have someone doing things with you so that you can support each other. emoticon
