Life is good. Vacation is almost here. It's pretty much all I can think about... And I am down to the weight I was last year when I went... So at least I met that goal! Yay!!!

I, like many, read lots of blogs and health information. And for the first time yesterday, I knew that they were right. One in particular stuck out to me: successful weigh loss individuals make small goals. Hmm... Now I know that sounds obvious but for a lot of people. We focus on the total number. For me, I have been focusing on 2 pounds a week. And it's working!!!!

Another motivating factor, those who have had kids can understand. How long has it been since you gained the "baby weight"? And is it still considered "baby weight" after 6 years? I don't know the answer to that. But I do know that my little girl turns 6 soon and that means I have been 'overweight' for almost 7 years.... Never thought I would say that!!! So little goals is what I am sticking with. They have been working and I will succeed!

Little goals:

1. 2 pounds a week
2. Stay within calorie range
3. Eat 5 fruits/veggies a day
4. Drink 10+ cups a water a day
5. Maintain during vacation

So onward we go! Let's do this!! emoticon
