The SP Insider is Gone !!!!

Thursday, June 27, 2013

As you all my have noticed...
On the SP Start page, a few changes have been made which started yesterday.
One major change was that the Spark Insider tab and all tabs are gone.
The Article, Video and Recipe tabs are now pictures only...But the Insider is gone all together.
For me, That was the one I used the most...All the others come in emails daily.
I don't agree with this change.
One the SP Team Leaders Team thread that questioned the change, I did put in my 2 cents...
Here is what I wrote...

Me, Too !!! It's great especially for new members.
When I was new at this, I found important tid bits of info that I didn't find on my own.

I was not the only one responding...So here is Coach Jens response to us...

Hi everyone

We did remove the Insider yesterday. It was part of some other changes which include a new Start page content slideshow to find better and more efficient ways to feature some of our best content on the site.

We don't typically announce small changes like this because we reserve that for when big changes happen on the site. We're always making small tweaks to help improve the user experience in the best way possible.

Coach Jen

Here is my latest reply...

Sorry, but I don't agree with the change.
Through the INSIDER, I found that SP has a Diabetes Program.
That was the best info ever....It saved my life !!!
Not to be over dramatic.

I, also, miss the Secrets to Success on the points page.
It sure is a great way to see others tips and tricks and to share yours with others.

Without them being on the points page, new members don't know it's even available.
And, on the points page, encourages us to read them and add them.

I'm NOT a FB etc user either. Why are we getting pushed there to get points?

Not that I'm here just to get points, I'm here to learn...Not waist my time of FB.

I guess this is important to me as I don't blog often...But this one got me...

Thank You for letting me Vent...

What do you think?

I'm the one who started the thread on the Leader's Team.
Here is a blog about it (posted AFTER the changes took effect and the thread on the Leader's Team was quite active.
    I am an 'unhappy camper'!

They also got rid of the 3 point poll points and 5 point quizzes.

I have been using SparkPeople for more than 2 years now and there are some things I cannot find through "regular" surfing. I too will miss the insider feature!

It just started today for me, I agree ,, I do not subscribe to any social media,,
Not only did they eliminate the insider, but the quizzes are gone!!
I loved them, they made me look things up to learn..
Also, if you go to your start, you can no longer access the tabs for blogs, recipes, vids, etc.

I still have not found the blogs.. guess we have to fish around for a few weeks on that one.. bummer.

If they are going to change or move an item, at least leave info on how to find it!!!

Yes, I noticed that change immediately when I log on yesterday. I was not happy. I also, like the Secrets to Success, because I have posted a few things myself. Everybody always want to make these some changes, but realize the impact on daily users.

Yes, I noticed it too, I love it when she said we usually dont say anything about small changes. Apparently its not a small change to us! I also have been having trouble with the trivia, I have to answer 5 questions right before it finally says I answer 3 right. Hope they get these troubles all worked out. Thanks for posting!
