Day 87 - Extremely Stiff and in Pain

Wednesday, June 26, 2013

After walking 6 miles, which I overdid, my muscles went into shock! At least that is what it felt like. I stiffened up terribly. I took Tylenol and went to bed early. I was really debating on going to Curves the next day but my husband said that it might loosen up my I did.

I got up at 5:45 am and walked like a 92 year old woman without her walker. By 6:30 my neighbor picked me up and I was walking almost normal...but a little hunched over.

I was able to do one neighbor was tired too...she is an elderly woman (her kids are older than me). We left and I got ready for my work. I sat down mostly at work and I felt every muscle stiffen up. I was extremely tense to the point of pain. I had to force myself to relax. I have never had this problem before...I am, or was, always limber and loose.

I took more tylenol and made it through the day. After lunch, we took the clients to volunteer at Feed My Starving Children. I sat there and we placed labels on the gazillion bags. I was able to loosen up some more.

Right now, I feel much looser and have mild pain in my back sides.

Yeah...6 miles was a little too excessive for this old chick...

Tomorrow, I should be back to my normal self. And working a double shift 8:30 am to 9 pm tomorrow and Friday with a 10 hour shift on Saturday. So, no exercise for me, unless we can hit the gym in the mornings at the day program. Tomorrow afternoon, we are going to another adult program's open house and on Friday, we are going to the movies with the clients, yay!
