Within my 3%

Wednesday, June 26, 2013

I joined a maintenance challenge that started Monday and runs 8 weeks. Basically you post your weight each week and you must stay within a +/- 3% range (you pick your "center" weight). If you stay within the range, you stay in the challenge. The person who has the smallest percent deviation (up or down), wins the challenge. Since Wednesday's are my "weigh in" day, I posted my weight this morning. I gained .4 from last week, but am still below my goal and well within my range.

I am, however, a whole pound up from 2 weeks ago. Still got "wiggle room", but a little concerned because some of those unhealthy habits are creeping back in - mainly mindless snacking at night. Hopefully this challenge will keep me on track.

I ran on Monday. DH had to work and the rest of the house was tired! This is a very busy week for my girls, so they just want to "chill" at night. It was pretty hot and very humid. We've really had mild weather so far this summer, but the hot & steamy days of summer are here! I ran about 2.5 miles. I did have to stop a little (I slowed down to see what everyone was looking at over a bridge and there was a very large snake in the water!).

Last night DD#1 had some friends over and my sister came by with her grandson (previous mentioned precious great-nephew!). We were going to meet my niece at a park and walk and drop him off. By the time we got him fed, my girls fed, it was late, so no exercise last night.

I'm not sure what I'm going to do tonight. DH has to work and I have to take DD#1 to work. DD#3 is not feeling well and even skipped her day camp today. DD#2 only has volleyball today, so she might be up to running in the gym.

I also find that when DH works at night, I really don't feel like cooking! I do have some veggies that need to be prepared, so I'll either grill or do a stir fry. Just got to keep away from the snacks!
