I've never blogged before

Tuesday, June 25, 2013

Today has been a very achy day for me. I tried to walk two miles on the treadmill at the gym but had to give up after 1 1/2 because my legs hurt too much. I thought I could work through the pain but decided that may not be a good idea in the long run. Came home, took ibuprofen and will probably walk a quarter mile this evening so I can keep my two mile a day goal.

8 months ago my legs would ache after a ten minute walk in the park with the dog, but now I can walk for an hour without too much trouble. You have to listen to your body and gradually do a little more each day. The chair exercise team have ideas to exercise from a chair which isn't so hard on the legs and could be a help. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

No pain, no gain only leads to injuries.. I'm glad you listened to your body and gave it much needed rest time before you would try again. If you have to start with 1.5 try not to be upset with yourself. You will work back up to 2 and be great! If you can do two by splitting it, you are even further ahead!

Keep pushing! Keep hanging in there!

emoticon Very Wise Decision to stop when it got too much. I hope that you were able to complete your short walk this evening!
