starting to feel it

m starting to feel the hunger and the pain from running and exercising, I know it is a good thing but part of me just wants to rip open my freezer and eat ice cream. Hopefully I have more self control than that.lol. emoticon

    Definitely drink lots of water. A lot of times what you think as hunger is actually thirst. If you feel thirsty, then you are already dehydrated.

    Also, don't feel like you have to completely deprive yourself. There are plenty of lower calorie ice cream options that you can get from the store that will easily fit into your calorie restraints. Ben and Jerry's even sells little 220 calorie cups of ice cream. I find that helps me, even though it is more expensive, as it gives me a portion that is easy to stick to. You will find what works for you, whether it is fitting the things you love into your days, or cutting it all out because you haven't built self control yet.

    If you want healthier frozen snacks, I love frozen grapes.

    Mostly, you just need to learn what you are capable of and what are your binge triggers (stay away from those for a while, if forever).

    Drink an extra glass of water before you grab a snack! Try a banana (or frozen banana slices) for a snack instead of ice cream.
