Any old Saturday..

Sunday, June 23, 2013

Well, it's any old Saturday here in CowTown and I'm home cleaning house with the reward of going swimming later at my brothers pool. I hurt my foot and calf recently so I'm having to lay off running for a bit which is NOT a good thing. I like the quick results I get from my beginning running program and it really motivates me to keep going since right now I don't have to alter my diet so much and still manage to lose 1-2 lbs per week. I've been doing intervals on the exercise bike but today I just wasn't feeling it. So I cranked up some music and danced around while I tried to rein in my ADD (not really) and completely clean one room before I moved to another. Poor Yume didn't look like she enjoyed my music choice. Finally i took Yume to my brothers to swim and boy did it make my foot and calf feel better to swim laps, jog laps and do lunges and squats. Lancelot told some old friends we would love to come to a cookout and even though I was sorta dreading going when I didn't know a soul there. My hubby is not good about introducing me so I have to introduce my self and it feels so awkward. I ended up having a good time and met a lady that's been running for quite a while. I taught her how to do the Cupid Shuffle and managed to avoid the Tequila....lol. Tomorrow I will obey Yume's commands and take her walking since I can't run right now. Well that's it for my 1st ever blog post, exciting I know...lol Till next time. K

You have written a great first blog.. emoticon emoticon
I think dancing around the house and cleaning as you go (to a great beat/music) is a fantastic idea! emoticon Burning calories and being" productive" all in one swoop! emoticon Good that the swimming is helping your sore foot and calf.
Your dog Yume is absolutely adorable!
Good luck and and best wishes to you! emoticon
