Fallen by the Way side

Well it's not been a good week despite the fact I have lost one pound, not quick enough for me. Yes, I know it's better than gaining a pound! I have lots of excuses but really now I think about it they are just excuses. I retire on Thursday of this week, and I've been trying to put a lifetime experience into my replacement in 9 days! Mission impossible but no one else gets it. I work with elderly dementia/altzheimers patients within a care home and relatives having heard of my looming retirement are inundating me with boxes of chocolates (14 so far!) and yes I know I don't have to eat them - and trust me I'm only eaten one box, but the others are calling me. I don't have time to eat at work, and when I got home this week I was just too brain dead to cook so yes sandwiches, french fries, cholestrol on a plate has been this week's regime. On the bright side, I got my sparkpeople diet book/cook book and will be sitting down on Friday to plan all our meals and get to eating properly. For now I'm going to stop stressing about it, enjoy what is left of Sunday ready for a final push at work for 4 days I am then a lady of leisure and can do what I want and most of all stop making excuses for my own failure. HOpe you all have a really good day - here in Scotland it's raining so am going to have lunch - salad - and curl up with a good murder book. Have fun all

Don't give up Jean. Once you retire and the last hectic days are over you can re-focus.
