60 today!!

Saturday, June 22, 2013

Not an earth shattering experience turning 60! Except for lots and lots of birthday wishes from my beloved family and friends, just another day in my life.
I am feeling very motivated to do well with my weight loss. My husband offered to take me out to dinner but I just don't want the temptation today.
It has been a rough month, some real emotional lows, but moving on and getting better is my goal. I have not weighed in for 2 weeks and am looking forward to it because I feel that I have made some progress this week.
I am a true believer in positive thinking and it is truly working for me lately. I would like to encourage others to not beat yourselves up if you are having a bad day (week, month, etc) Tomorrow is always another day and saying and thinking good things about yourself is so much more uplifting than than berating yourself.
Love to all,

Happy Birthday a week late! I turned 60 last December and ever so often I just have to whisper it to myself in awe, or dismay, or disbelief, or all three!

Happy Birthday! How nice of your husband to want to take you out and show you off! It's OK to celebrate, just make healthier choices and savor the moment together!
