Thursday - DH, my hero and some new best friends

Thursday, June 20, 2013

Of course, mowing again - except I guess I was zoned out when I drove head first into a deep ditch. I slammed on the brakes. And tried to woman handle the mower back up but... I resorted to calling DH as I knew he was down the street at the church working with his tractor.

Tada, Tada - here he comes on his green charger - John Deere of course.

I interrupted my mowing to go back to the new house to talk with some landscapers called Sanford and Sons- really, really. Not a play on the old sitcom. The father Mr. Sanford and his two sons work the company together. They fixed our irrigation system at no charge when the guy who installed it wouldn't return our calls and the quotes on other work were reasonable. I think we have found a new best friend.

No 12 of the 71 trust Psalms...

Psalm 20:7-8
7 Some trust in chariots and some in horses,
but we trust in the name of the Lord our God.
8 They are brought to their knees and fall,
but we rise up and stand firm.

God bless us with trust in You to stand firm.

Glad you are OK! Praise God for husbands for us women who try to woman handle things!! It is better to be a helpmeet than one who expects the husband to do it all. A lot of women up North here expect the husband to work, come home, and then give the woman a break because we are too weak minded and incapable of hard work. You are awesome!

Very glad that drive into the ditch was not too bad and you are OK. It is the best rescue when DH arrives and saves the day :-) I love your Bible verse today and the picture :-)

One should never be thinking about food when mowing! HaHa! Glad you weren't hurt and DH was nearby.
