Its all smooth here....

In our town during the summer we have two business' that sell soft serve ice cream. Of course my girls were trying to get into the habit of getting one a day! Instead I started making them smoothies! They are a hit now in this house and we enjoy at least one a day after we go on our walk or bike ride on the trail. My oldest daughter is making herself a smoothie for breakfast even! I have discovered that we really like strawberries with Yoplait lowfat yogurt and a little milk and ice, blend it up! Yummmmmm. I need to start trying different fruits too. I find if I eat a smoothie after my walk I am not fighting my stomach being hungry right before I go to bed...so far so good.....Anyone have any favorite low fat smoothie recipes you would like to share or copy a link too? I would love some more to try!

    I love making smoothies. I use mixed frozen fruit with skim milk then add flavored greek yogurt. That is my basic one but you can add so much more like, flax seed meal, peanut butter, quinoa and unsweetened cocoa mix. Some people have said they add spinach or kale but I haven't made that. Good luck
