You have two choices

Thursday, June 20, 2013

I don't enjoy driving anymore. It is the people on the road. Somehow, they think they own it and you have to step aside and let them get through. With cell phone in hand or coffee, they pass you only to end up at a light, with you behind them. Where did it get them? The scary part is when they speed in and out of traffic you wonder who is going to get hit.

Whatever happened to the polite person who would stop and let you go first? I guess they went out with the older generation. Whatever you do don't wear a hat cause a person wearing a hat is someone to watch out for, I heard. LOL I imagine the younger generation started that.

I don't drive slow, I go the speed limit and I hate it when someone is always in a hurry to get someplace. Why don't they leave earlier, like I do? I guess you can never change them.
Is there a time when you can go and not bump into them? I thought that maybe they would all be in work, but I guessed wrong because even retired people give it the gas and then there is the ones who go as slow as a donkey.

You have two choices, Stay home and don't drive or keep your eyes, not only on the road, but on the cars, in front, back, and sides.

Camey I try to remember to take my dad's advice many years ago when he taught me to drive. "Drive as if everyone else on the road is completely insane, and NEVER fight for the the right of way". "Automatically assume it belongs to someone else". Good advice. And your blog brought up some good points.

Camey, here in Calgary, pedestrians have the right of way - they jaywalk, just step off the curb, whatever, all without trying to catch a driver's eye, so you have to beware of them! Some have been killed and it is no wonder. Very sad. What a crazy law! What a crazy world we live in.

Right now, we are experiencing floods, and that's scary too!

    Hope you are doing okay.
